DON’T BUY IT
The UK is living with the deepest national debt since World War 2 and our politicians tell us huge cuts need to be made to education, healthcare and public services.
But at the same time the government is poised to waste £90billion on new nuclear weapons – the same cost as 450 hospitals, 4000 new schools and 3.5million university places.
As well as being expensive, these weapons are totally irrelevant to the real threats we face globally: climate change, financial instability and food scarcity. Rather than protect us, Trident encourages more and more countries to build nuclear weapons and provides a massive target for terrorists.
Now is the time to say no to Trident renewal. With no money to pay for it and no reason to want it, the answer is simple: DON'T BUY IT.
